Dry Loose Powder Mineral Cosmetics Application Method #1

1.        (Sifter insert in container)  With RAESIN IMAGES Mineral Makeup loose powder lid on, softly tap or shake product upside down into lid, if you don’t have one of my sweet, vanity foundation mixing jars, this is a fast, easy method to use.

2.        Right cosmetic sifter jar container.  This allows just the right amount of loose powder product to enter container between cosmetic sifter and jar lid.  Some women like to tap loose makeup powders into the lid; some prefer to leave it in sifter insert area.

3.        Using flat part your RAESIN IMAGES mineral makeup or taklon foundation brush and/or chiseled powder brush, gently tap applicator into powder.  (Tap off excess, or you will be wasting product and possibly end up with poor application.)

4.        Lightly tap RAESIN IMAGES mineral loose foundation powder make up onto areas of face where you need heavier coverage first.  Tap powder on the remainder of your skin where needed.  (As a professional Makeup Artist Kat Switzer does not suggest covering the entire face with foundation; most women don’t need to and the look is very artificial.  Use your best judgment.  Mineral foundation makeup should MATCH your skin exactly, if it does not, then the wrong color tone is incorrect, and you will need to find the proper shade.

5.        Once you have lightly tapped a bare mineral loose makeup powder on desired skin areas, use a large mineral powder make up brush to gently blend by swishing and swirling brush over your natural skin.  RAESIN IMAGES professional makeup artist staff finds light, short, quick whisking strokes work great.  Take notice of areas around your hairline, chin, and jaw area.  If your makeup foundation color is correct you will NOT see any color changes.

RAESIN IMAGES Colour Identification System Foundation Mineral Makeup Cosmetic products are all highly pigmented.  The powder is extremely pigmented and condensed.  This means a very little loose powder mineral product will cover quickly and easily with no waste since we don't use any fillers. (when applied properly)

PREFERRED Dry Method #2

1.  Using the same method as directed above, substitute, flocked sponge, sponge wedge, powder puff.  Some women like to use large kabuki and or fan brushes for their loose powder face minerals application. 

We like to remind women that we are not Id bare minerals.  RAESIN IMAGES mineral cosmetics do not require excessive buffing or “pushing” product with brush into skin to apply. 

All that buffing is unnecessary with RAESIN IMAGES mineral products and it can be damaging to your delicate facial skin especially if you are using harsh brushes, as each time a harsh bristle (and there can be hundreds of them) touches your naturally bare skin, it can/will cause small abrasions for bacteria to enter underlying skin layers causing sensitivity, itching, acne, and skin infection not to mention leathery look as skin will compensate with the need to recover just like a scar would do. 

Please do not use harsh or synthetic make up brushes when applying cosmetics of any variety except where indicated necessary as in taklon eyeliner brushes.

Wet Mineral Makeup Loose Powder Application Method #1

1.        Lightly spritz face with purified water or hydrosols after you’ve tapped excess product from brush before you apply product to skin.

2.        If you find your product is drying out before you feel you are finished, then lightly spritz again.

3.        You can substitute a foundation brush, sponge, or powder brush for your wet application also.

Hydrosols are sold in our natural skin care section and are especially nice to carry with you for quick touch ups if needed, as well as their contributing to quenching and nourishing skin with antioxidants.

Wet Mineral Make Up Loose Powder Application Method #2

1.        Try mixing a few drops of your favorite RAESIN IMAGES natural skin care moisturizer product in with your loose mineral powder make up.  This will allow your skin a light to heavy liquid mineral makeup application.  Perfect for on the go days when your skin feels it need more moisture.  Great for Winter months.

Wet Method #3

1.        Try application method #2, substituting distilled water in a spritz bottle for your moisturizer.

Always clean your foundation application tools DAILY with a gentle (Ivory or Dove) liquid or cake soap and water.  Do not use antibacterial soap if you want your brushes to last, this dries out the natural oils in the natural hair brushes
